The Learning Factory and Flashback Productions called on Pixel Kitchen to supply character animation and compositing for the educational film Citizen Brain. This film tells the story of a rebellious brain in a typical 12 year old video game junkie. Upon squeezing out of the boys ear, the brain takes us on a journey of discovery through the political system of the United States and why we vote. The film was meant to make a point with pre-teens about the importance of understanding one's responsibility to the democratic system. The main character was designed as a happy-go-lucky brain on a quest for knowledge. The brain tags up with a small group of similar minded students and adults to explore concepts illustrated both in virtual and real space. They visit several exciting locations quest for knowledge. Pixel Kitchen's job was to bring digital animated storytelling techniques to The Learning Factory's story. PK Principle Dan Seely along with independent animators Gary Atkinson, Jeff Jurich and others (Sam Fleming, Nathian Wood, Chance Dodd, brought a wealth of animation experience to this fun film.
